The Weir Garden Autumn Foraging Course on Sunday 4th November 2018

The Weir Garden is a beautiful National Trust property boasting a lovely riverside garden, mature trees and even some ancient Roman ruins. Being just outside Hereford this stunning venue is easy to reach from Weobley, Leominster, Hay-on-Wye, Bromyard, Kington and even Presteigne.

We will meet at 12pm and the course starts with a 20 minute introduction on how to forage safely and sustainably, and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.

Then we’ll set off for a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the area identifying the different edible and poisonous plants, fruits and mushrooms that we come across. We then discuss and taste our finds over a light lunch.

Ideal for both the total novice and the intermediate forager looking to improve their knowledge, it is also an unusual and fun family outing!
