In the stunning setting of the Wye Valley, HowTheLightGetsIn Festival returns for a May Bank Holiday filled with ideas, magic, music, and wonder...

Described as 'Europe's answer to TED' (Total Politics), this unique festival of ideas and music promises over 200 events with more than 80 boundary-crossing debates and talks with the world's leading thinkers. Recent years have featured Nobel Prize winners, former leaders of all the UK's political parties, Man Booker Prize authors, Poet Laureates, academics, activists, artists, and world-leading philosophers including Noam Chomsky, Steven Pinker Rebecca Goldstein, and more.

On the music front, over 100 music and performance events will ignite the weekend. Grammy nominees have been known to rub shoulders with rising stars, cabaret acts, leading comedians, circus performers, DJs, and artists including Hot Chip, Ana Matronic, Ewan Pearson, Badly Drawn Boy, Ahir Shah, Josh Widdicombe, Rae Morris, amongst others.
