FiddleBop/Cardboard Box Thieves at Hay Globe on Saturday 6th August 2022
Two brilliant bands in one evening. For free! FiddleBop and the Cardboard Box Thieves are at the Hay Globe on the evening of Saturday 6 August. A donation is requested for the DJP Foundation 'Supporting those in the agricultural sector with poor mental health'.
FiddleBop plays Gypsy jazz (updated!) on violin, Spanish guitar, keyboard, and fretless bass, and with four voices in harmony. FiddleBop's jazz is sophisticated and passionate but not pretentious or stuffy; highly danceable but not rhythmically boring; has plenty of improvised solos but is still tuneful and melodic. You'll love it!
And then there's the brilliant Cardboard Box Thieves too! From Builth Wells, the Thieves play original songs in a folk style for voice, accordion, banjo and guitar. Yaaaay!
