Ledbury Autumn Foraging Course on Sunday 28th October 2018
We’re looking forward to these Autumn courses on the outskirts of Ledbury, by kind permission of Eastnor Castle. This beautiful, well situated venue is within easy reach of Malvern, Bromyard, Hereford, Worcester, Ross-on-wye, Cheltenham and Gloucester.
We’ll be meeting in the parking area along the road opposite to the main entrance to the Castle grounds at 12pm. The course starts there with a 20 minute introduction on how to forage safely and sustainably, and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.
Then we’ll set off for a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the area identifying the different edible and poisonous plants, fruits and mushrooms that we come across. We then discuss and taste our finds over a light lunch.
Ideal for both the total novice and the intermediate forager looking to improve their knowledge, it is also an ideal family outing!
