About

The "¡AY!KALIMBA!" crew return to the Trades Club with their second installment of the tropical club night. This month to kick off the winter club season they take things up a notch with K.O.G. as the live act headliner.
BOM NATION AND DJ WOODY are also joining us as last minute additions to the lineup!!
With DJ support from Nicky General, J-Black, Cutterz & Jomo.
Kweku Sackey aka K.O.G (Kweku of Ghana) has been pushing the musical boundaries with his afro dancehall and futurism sound. A firm favourite at festivals up and down the country he has appeared on BBCs Later with Jools Holland twice, first with Nubiyan Twist in 2021 and then last year with his own band. His most recent releases have seen him collaborate with Ghanian musical icons such as Gyedu-blay Ambolley and Pat Thomas as well as further output with Nubiyan Twist's Tom Excell in the group Onipa and a new album produced by Guts.
As a multi-dimensional creative force K.O.G. combines exquisite writing skills with shamanistic live performance; fierce raps with singing across a massive vocal range and some absolutely wicked dance moves. Not to mention his skills as a percussionist, arranger, bandleader and art director. He is a true poet and storyteller, using a vibrant mix of English, Pidgin and Ga to paint sonic pictures that reach deep into the souls of everyone ready to listen.
'I view MUSIC as a major WEAPON in the BATTLEFIELD for PEACE of MIND in the world' K.O.G
'Ghana's finest' Jools Holland, Later with Jools Holland, BBC2, March 2021
Please note this is not a last train friendly concert
BOM Nation - Live!
BOM takes its influence from all the corners of Africa and its diaspora, blending with 25 years of Western electronic music into a melange of forward facing, leftfield afro futurism. After there amazing headline show at the Golden Lion we couldn't have a better way of keeping the vibes going.
Tropical street party decor.
Bring your best outfits and dance !!
