Mental Health Awareness Week at The Friary Guildford on Monday 14th - Sunday 20th May 2018

The Friary Guildford is supporting Mental Health Awareness Week to raise awareness of mental health issues and how to handle the pressures of stress and everyday life.

Tuesday, 15 May

The Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust will be at the centre with information on mental health. You’ll have the opportunity to talk to health professionals, receive invaluable information on combating mental health and have your blood pressure taken.

Sunday, 20 May

Spencer Counselling will be at the centre to host an interactive workshop on stress relieving activities. As specialists in stress, anger management, anxiety and depression, Spencer Counselling will provide information on coping mechanisms and information as to whether counselling is for you.

FREE Yoga and Mindfulness Taster workshops will also take place on Sunday with Breathe Calm Yoga and Mindfulness. These workshops offer a chance to experience the positive effects yoga and mindfulness can have on mental and emotional balance.

Class timings:
Yoga: 11:00am – 12:00pm and 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Mindfulness: 2:00pm – 3:00pm and 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Booking is essential for workshops. To secure your place, please email or call 01483 503733.

Workshops will take place on level 2 at The Friary Guildford. Participants will need to meet on level 2 outside Shakeaway.
