Review of Jammin Rum &. Reggae Family Festival

Maybe a few more concession stands for food as there was a wait for both food stalls and some items were then removed from the menu es as they could t keep up with demand.
Venue was great, fabulous atmosphere throughout the day, drinks were reasonably priced for an event, a good variety of music throughout the day (head liners were fabulous).
Very family friendly.

This was supposed to be a REGGAE event but the music played was not the reggae that we know. We heard Madness, Specials, UB40 as well some other bands that maybe touched on a reggae beat but where was the real reggae??? The sounds of the great Gregory Isaacs, Freddie Mcgregor, Barrington, Sanchez??The list could go on and on! This was English reggae, not Jamaican reggae!! A huge disappointment for true reggae lovers!!!

Wasn't very well organised, 2 out of the 4 bars weren't open and there was only 2 food places - one Jamaican and one pizza! And it was overpriced for what you got.

Turned up at venue at midday. Hoping for the event to start. We were told it was delayed and given no start time or band line up. We had 1 band on until about 16.00 hrs when we had 2 guys on stage for over a hour and a half, basically doing karaoke. Then supposedly at 6 Rat in the kitchen should have started. Finally at 18.30 they started. A total breath of fresh air. They were superb. So from midday till 18.30. Very poor bands and no idea of line up. Last point, very little choice of food. Pizza or jerk chicken. That was it. Overall thoughts, not very well organised and not worth the tick*t money.

We all had a great day out, the music was amazing, we went between the reggae and the funk and soul tent and we even went on the bouncy castle assault course which was hilarious 😂 the food was good and the prices of drinks were reasonable, I would recommend.

Couple of minor things. 
Not allowed to take in food and lack of food stalls. 
No hand sanatiser in loos. 
Three things!
Not allowed to go to the car to get a blank*t when it got cold. 
Really enjoyed our day though and will definitely go again next year. 
Great for kids.
