Funhouse Comedy Club - New Comedy Night in Longhope June 2018 on Saturday 2nd June 2018
Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at various venues all over the country, is excited to announce the launch of their brand new comedy night at Hillside Brewery, Longhope.
Funhouse Comedy Clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to fame and fortune include Sarah Millican, Russell Kane, Jack Whitehall and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as 'among the best anywhere in the world.'
Headlining the night is comedian, writer, radio broadcaster and TV presenter Nick Page, winner of English Comedian of the year 2017. The seemingly indestructible, larger than life, award winning English comic whose life is a series of disasters somehow turning into unlikely triumphs. No gimmicks, no PowerPoint, no props and no flipcharts. Just stories and belly laughs he is a master of his art.
Supporting will be the charismatic Gareth Richards, who has appeared on 'Russell Howard's Good News'. A Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award 2010 Best Newcomer Nominee' and support for Rhod Gilbert on tour he has a deceivingly intelligent gift for observation and sharp one-liners.
Completing the line-up is the very funny and highly talented Patrick Draper, who took the comedy world by storm after winning a string of new act competitions; with his dead pan delivery, witty one-liners, killer punch-lines and ridiculous short stories.
Compere for the night will be the cheery and chatty Nik Hill.
