Stand Up for Charity

Stand up for Charity presents a night of side splitting comedy raising funds for St James’s Place - The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation funds small and medium sized charities across the UK and overseas working with children who are disadvantaged physically, socially or economically. We also fund hospices, mental health charities and cancer support charities.

HEADLINER - Raymond Mearns

Raymond Mearns is one of the UK’s busiest circuit comics and can be seen regularly performing at venues all across the country and frequently on the International Comedy Circuit Successful Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows every year from 2011 till 2018 have shown that Raymond has a considerable ability to keep his stand-up fresh, relevant and most of all extremely funny. Described by Frankie Boyle as ‘a genuine improvisational genius’, Raymond is at last gaining wider recognition as one of the most consistent comedians in the land.

MC - Viv Gee

Viv Gee was a finalist in So You Think You’re Funny and the BBC Open Mic
Awards and since then has performed comedy from L.A to Bangkok. She also
has compared various festivals including T in the Park and Glasgow’s New
Year celebrations.

TV and Radio appearances include Lorraine Kelly’s Make Me Happier STV
and BBC’s Stake Out, Hedz, River City, Revolver, The Comedy Underground
and The Gates.

Opener - CHRIS DINWOODIE

As well as his natural Glaswegian humour, Chris is a member of the prestigious Magic Circle and three-time winner of the Scottish Conjurers Association close-up magic contest. One of the most unique acts on the comedy circuit right now, you’re in for a treat!
