About

23 Promotions & Room 2 Live Presents...

The Back Green Singers, Hunter & McMustard and The Carlton JugBand. A night of bluegrass, country and dirty Lowlander trad designed to get your hoofs a' stomping!

The Back Green Singers: 'Glasgow based Bluegrass and Acoustic music band. Influenced by the timeless picking of Flatt and Scruggs, Bill Monroe and Doc Watson with an appreciation for the ancient tones!'

Hunter & McMustard: 'Friends from different musical and geographical backgrounds (Ayrshire and North Lanarkshire) coming together to make a unique duo singing a variety of songs from folk to comedy, bluegrass to rockabilly. What they call dirty Lowlander untrad. Their first release was a tribute to comedy legend Billy Connolly and to raise funds and awareness for the Friends of the People's Palace and Winter Gardens campaign in Glasgow. The next batch of songs include historical re-imaginings of 'The Last March of The Jacobite Army', musings on climate change with 'This West Of Scotland Vegan (Is Going To Do Your Nut In)'; an eclectic modern take on folk music with a social and global consciousness.'

The Carlton JugBand Collective: 'A Glasgow based loose-knit country collective. The name is a paean to the old-time music that inspires the choice of music they play. Country and Bluegrass are the main inspirations behind the tunes but they ain't afraid to let rip with a few Stones or Soul numbers. Good time vibes and darker reflections are combined in a dynamic set that is guaranteed to get you off your ass and in tears all at the same time.'

14+ gig. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. ID required (Young Scot card, driving licence (full or provisional), passport or birth certificate).
