As well as having performed at various venues in Glasgow, this year she is studying HND Music at New College Lanarkshire and has many musical projects underway."
FUZZY: "Their latest single ‘Sentimental City’ was released on the 23rd of August. Written and performed by Rick Michalski on lead vocals. This was recorded in true DIY fashion in their rehearsal space in Alloa, with Ross McCaw on production. 'Sentimental City' is set on a walk home through the streets of Glasgow with ‘Spike Fuck’ sensibilities. Fuzzy was formed by Rick Michalski, Ross McCaw and Alan Carberry in Glasgow in Summer 2019. Since its establishment, the band immediately began working on writing and recording demos. Fuzzy take a sovereign approach to the creative process; the debut release: 'I'd Be Fool' (released 20/01/20) was written and recorded, mixed and mastered (and released) exclusively by Fuzzy on their label Cottonmouth Records. Since the debut Fuzzy have released another three singles, 'Graceless Man' (02/04/20), 'Don’t you want it anymore?' (24/08/20), 'Queen of the Flowers' (14/09/20), 'If You Want To' (11/09/22), and their latest release 'Sentimental City' (23/08/23). The band members have taken a step back from the heavier, more aggressive sound of previous projects and have embodied a gentler, more lucid tone. What some would call lo-fi is more of a culmination of the songwriters’ meandering, laissez-faire approach when applied to Fuzzy. Make no mistake; Fuzzy’s music sounds neither well-polished nor particularly classy. The band are, however, proud to have operated on a minuscule budget from its conception which has in turn has generated honest music direct from the bedroom, preserving the writer's initial conception. The songs are unashamedly unorthodox with literary surrealism seeping through dreamy melodic arrangements. Alasdair Grey’s unique literary legacy has a profound influence on the group, incorporating a twisted sense of humour and bizarre imagery. Fuzzy make full use of the multidisciplinary talent among its members. With four vocalists and a mixture of guitars, keys and synths, Fuzzy’s chameleonesque arrangements generate an unusual variant on punctilious pop music. The band made its live debut at Eden Festival’s Secret Masked Ball in late November 2019, bringing in Liv Watson on keys and Corey Renwick on drums to complete the five-piece band. After a brief hiatus due to the pandemic, Fuzzy are back with a bang, most recently playing King Tut's Summer Nights and Slouch with Frances McKee (of The Vaselines). Members of Fuzzy have previously been involved with: Bedford Rascals, Tantra, Real Life Entertainment, Elephant and Constant Follower. Rick and Ross began writing together in 2015 and as co-vocalists, they formed the band Real Life Entertainment. After a few line-up changes Alan joined the group on lead guitar in late 2017 contributing another vocalist and songwriter. The band enjoyed moderate success playing at festivals across the UK, supporting Cabbage on their 2018 UK tour and releasing music with Spider Stacey and Gary Powell of The Pogues and The Libertines respectively. After Real Life Entertainment split in summer 2019 Rick, Ross and Alan threw themselves into a new project taking the form of Fuzzy."
