Sovirez + special guests on Saturday 19th March 2022
In a world where you can be anything, be unapologetically yourself! This statement encompasses what Sovirez is all about - taking a range of different musicians with a passion and experience in different genres and turning them into a sexy blend of uniqueness that will leave a lasting impression. Think a delicious combination of Pop-rock with some extra funky bass lines, a sprinkle of soulful vibes and throwing in some Motown flavour - this sums up the ingredients of Sovirez’ musical mix.
This up-and-coming 4 piece brings together Anthony & Chris Squires (formerly of the Sinsheimers), Calum Lamond & Steven Jess. Four guys from different sides of the Clyde who have not let distance or difference stop them coming together and creating the strong group you see now.
Sovirez formed in 2019, creating their musical blend and perfecting their fully original line up to explode onto the music scene. Of course, like a lot of things, Covid-19 delayed their opportunity to bring this music in front of a live audience, but it didn’t dissuade them. All it has done has made them work harder & smarter, further allowing them to perfect their craft and make that track list even fuller. With multiple plays on local radio stations, notable support slots with Wrest and Martha Hill, as well as sell out shows at B12 Summer Sessions and The Flying Duck, Glasgow, their sound is out there and getting rave reviews. A band who are more than ready, and able, to entertain you and bring a whole new sound to the Uk music scene and beyond. Prepare to have these songs replaying in your head for a long time to come.
“I’ll be honest, when I think of Inverclyde in Scotland, I don’t exactly think of silky smooth soul-infused pop vibes. But thanks to the brilliant talent of Sovirez, I am more than prepared to admit that I was wrong to not make that association.”

Announcing themselves to the Glasgow music scene in late 2019, Icarus Moon boast a fresh blend of alternative indie music with a highly energetic and funky twist. Vocalist Sean Lowrie (formerly of Tomorrow’s Problem), poetically explores many different sides to the life of a working-class Scot, such as nightclub love, mental health struggles and dealing with local trouble. Stefan Livingston and Sonny Miller (also previous members of Tomorrow’s Problem) and Scott Kemp (former drummer of Patersani) bring the dynamic and sparkling rhythms to Sean’s rhymes. Strong, driving grooves littered with jazz harmony and complex unison lines give the band their unique and powerful sound. Icarus Moon hopes to tour far and wide and give people stories they can dance to.
