The Nimmo Brother in Concert on Wednesday 14th November 2018
Back in 1995, The Nimmo Brothers were formed in Glasgow by brothers Alan & Stevie Nimmo.
After years of constant touring and recording 6 critically acclaimed albums, the guys had earned the reputation of being one of the most exciting rocking blues bands on the circuit, both here and in Europe.
By 2010 the brothers were exploring side projects; Alan with King King and Stevie with The Stevie Nimmo Trio but they continued to tour as TNB winning in the ‘best band’ category of the British Blues Awards in both 2015 & 2016. After their 20th anniversary tour however, despite the wave the band were riding at that time, and to the disappointment of many, they announced that they were taking time off to focus on their individual bands.
The boys continued to receive enthusiastic responses to their work and especially with the phenomenal success of King King, it looked as if perhaps TNB would be consigned to history. It was therefore a surprise and a delight to fans up and down the country when they announced that a small window had appeared in their respective diaries, and they decided to hit the road once again for a short UK tour from Aberdeen to Exeter as The Nimmo Brothers.
Catch these guys whist you can – they may not have time to do this again for a while….
Local soul blues singer Joanna Cooke will be the support act for the evening and will be on stage at 7:30.
Music Genres: Blues, Rock
