London & Essex Forage and Feast, Lee Valley Park on Saturday 3rd November 2018
Join us to learn the basics of foraging and discover some edibles lying all around us in the Lee Valley park.
After our initial meeting we will go through the basics of foraging. Then we head out to discover the vast array of wild edible species that lie all around us. During the Forage your forager will introduce you to a number of edible species giving you tips on harvesting and correct identification. Whilst doing this you will have the opportunity to taste a range of pre-made wild food tasters from pickles to jams.
After our forage, we'll sit down to a pre-prepared, foraged food lunch; including such delights as acorn sour-dough bread, ginger and knotweed jam, cheese and hawthorn chutney, dandelion root 'coffee' cake, elderflower cordial and nettle cordial (these items will change with seasonal availability).
