Samedia Shebeen
Feat. MAGUGU (Pidgin Rap Guru / Gugugang)
Saturday 4th February at the Mash House
We are hyped to present the first Scottish shows for MAGUGU - a singular voice in global bass culture, which features on a huge range of massive tunes, many of which we regularly spin.
Magugu is a Nigerian poet who fluently unifies Afrobeat, UK Funky, Dancehall with Grime and Jungle. While performing Magugu raps in Pidgin, which is an English-based creole language spoken in Nigeria. For more than a decade he's been making a name for himself as a Cardiff-based artist with a distinguishable raw voice. After numerous releases on his own imprint GUGUGANG Records, the Pidgin Rap Guru also released on cutting-edge labels like Deep Medi Musik and Critical Music and has worked with significant artists like Pedro, Blk Mamba, Le Motel, My Nu Leng, Phase and Chad Dubz. He features on a huge range of massive tunes, many of which we regularly spin such as PEPPER DEM, TOO MUCH, BIG DON and the worldwide smash GAME FACE ON. Come party with the "pidgin rap guru" with the full SSJS rig, and selections from both crews.
