Knockengorroch presents A Tribe Called Red on Friday 8th February 2019
The ground breaking Canadian First Nations' DJs and producers play powwow step, blending instrumental hip hop, reggae, moombahton and dubstep-influenced dance music with elements of First Nations music, particularly vocal chanting and drumming.
ATCR are rooted in the uplifting and inclusive Electric Pow Wow nights they hold in Ottawa. These parties are formed by a crowd of indigenous peoples, music heads, social activists and anyone looking for a great party... We've managed to nab them on a rare visit to the UK to bring that party to Scotland!
The night will also feature all female rap trio The Honey Farm, one of the most exciting new voices in Scottish rap, 'frank, fearless and very funny' (the list) these girls pack no punches. Warning sexually explicit material. thehoneyfarm.bandcamp.com
Tropical bass and more international beats from Samedia Shebeen
The inimitable, trail blazing, winner of best hip hop act at the Scottish alternative music awards, Solareye aka Dave Hook (Stanley Odd) www.solareye.co.uk
