Review of Vivaldi\'s Four Seasons by Candlelight
I'm afraid I was bitterly disappointed by this event in Edinburgh. Not only were the musicians poor with little or no feeling for the music, but the choice of music was dreadful. Some audience members were asleep or reading their phones. Myself and my party (it was my Mother's 81st birthday and I'd taken her and my Dad along as my guests) left half way through due to such a poor performance..
I have been trying to get a refund from Candlelight but they are refusing to pay.

Review of Vivaldi\'s Four Seasons by Candlelight
I was in Zone B, looking in from the side. Unless you are in Zone A, the view is going to be poor or obstructed. The music seemed quiet to me, but perhaps that was due to not being in the body of the kirk. It's lovely setting for a concert, bit I'll probably not attend a St Giles concert again unless I'm able to get a Zone A ticket. The music itself was exceptional.

Review of Brandenburg Concertos by Candlelight
Music was a good selection and we'll performed, personally I found the light hearted banter in-between a distraction. Unfortunately the venues really large and so I didn't get the full benefit as sitting up front although the sound and the cathedral venue were overall pretty amazing but I think a harpsichord had a little trouble with filling such a large cathederal with sound
