Born in Switzerland, Prune started playing music at a very young age, being classically trained in piano. She also regularly performed with choirs, and soon started taking singing lessons at the EJMA (Junior Jazz Conservatoire of Lausanne).

After graduating from the University of Lausanne with a BA in French Literature, Linguistics and Anthropology, she decided to move to Edinburgh to continue studying Music and Singing.

During her BA in Music Performance at Edinburgh College (Sighthill Campus), Prune was immersed in many different styles of music, with an emphasis on vocal jazz. This environment allowed her to explore various vocal techniques and to start developing her own sound.

Since graduating with distinction in 2015, Prune has been refining her versatile instrument by studying on the Advanced Diploma in Jazz at the University of St Andrews. She also obtained her Estill Figure Proficiency under the mentorship of Gillian McLaren Scott in 2018. Prune is regularly singing across Scotland with fellow musicians and is involved in Community Music with Music in Hospitals & Care Scotland. She is a proud member of the ICU-Hear project launched at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary in 2018.
