⟢ r/Conspiracy by Ella Hällgren
Alex falls headfirst into the rabbit hole when she spots Reddit thread claiming to document a man with a machete roaming the local park. r/Conspiracy is a virtual mystery for chronically online 20 year olds with too much time on their hands, and the weight of the world on their shoulders.
Ella is a playwright, actor and theatre maker from northern Sweden who’s based in Edinburgh. She was part of Playwrights’ Studio Scotland’s mentoring program in 2022, has been commissioned by Strange Town, and is working on staging her first full length play, Murmurs of Earth. His work delves into themes of love, behaviour, belief, and culture through the lens of everyday life and shared emotions. Thabo combines music, poetry, and performance in a unique fusion. He transcends the boundaries of conventional delivery while creating multidisciplinary collaborations that include theatre, dance, and soundscapes. His passion lies in connecting with diverse audiences and inspiring reflection through powerful live performances and creative expression. Thabo’s work celebrates cross-genre storytelling, collaborative creativity, and cultural heritage.
⟢ROWAN JAM by Jen McGregor
Desperate for a baby, a young woman carves a child out of wood. When she's offered the chance to exchange it for a living child she jumps at it - but the child is unusual, and now she's questioning what to do with a changeling. Using puppetry and song, Rowan Jam uses popular myths to trace the presence of neurodivergence and schizophrenia through the centuries.
Jen McGregor is an award-winning writer and director. Credits include Who Pays the Piper (PPP), The Premorial (Birds of Paradise/Perth Theatre), Ghost Stories (Pitlochry Festival Theatre), Divergent Sounds (Southbank Centre) and Matchmaker Theatre’s The Real William Shakespeare… as told by Christopher Marlowe (EdFringe). Jen's work explores themes of self-invention, death fear/death drive, and finding your place in a world in which you don't easily fit.
