Music for Marguerite on Friday 15th June 2018
In February, Marguerite Henderson became severely ill after she sustained the tiniest papercut. She was rushed to hospital where she was diagnosed with septic shock. All of her organs started to fail and by the following day she was in a coma and needed a ventilator to stay alive. Her family was soon told there was a high possibility that she would not survive.
To everyone's amazement, Marguerite struggled on and over a week later she was finally taken off a ventilator and regained consciousness. Unfortunately, Marguerite's blood had been pumping to her vital organs to keep her alive during her coma; doctors were left with no choice but to amputate Marguerite's limbs.
Marguerite friends and family are rallying together to raise £80,000. 'Music for Marguerite' is a live music event taking place at the Glen Pavilion in Dunfermline. The evening will feature local talent as well as established acts. There is also a planned auction and a raffle as well as a few special surprises.
The full line up will be announced shortly. Please help in any way you can.
