Rewire: ‘Laughs At The Loft’ present A Comedy Spectacular on Tuesday 2nd July 2019
Hosted by PETER E DAVIDSON
with MICKY BARTLETT, AARON McCANN, RUAIRI WOODS & PADDY McDONNELL
The folks behind Laughs at The Loft Comedy club at Brickworks have invited some of their favourite acts to put on a very special night of stand up comedy for the opening night at the Big Top at Rewire. The night will be hosted by Derry comic PETER E DAVIDSON ( BBC’s The Blame Game & Live at The Sunflower). Peter has performed his comedy in Brussels, New York and is off to Edinburgh in August for his third solo run at the Fringe. Headlining the night will be one of the funniest ever comics to come out of Ireland, MICKY BARTLETT who has appeared on pretty much every comedy show produced here. He’s a regular contributor to Colin Geddis’ General Banter podcasts and has headlined and MC’ed just about every club in the country. Later this year he brings his own solo show to The Ulster Hall. He is quite simply a comedy phenomenon. AARON McCANN hails from Omagh but recently made a smash for himself across the seas with his multimillion viewed internet hit ‘Culchie in America.’ He recently toured a live show of his adventures and is heading to Edinburgh for his first full solo run at the Fringe festival. With the critical backing of such comedy luminaries as Joe Rogan and Daniel Sloss, Aaron truly is one to watch! Strabane legend RUAIRI WOODS (BBC’s The Blame Game, Late License) described as ‘hilarious’ by Kevin Bridges, has appeared as part of the sell-out line-up of The Comedy Squad at The Ulster Hall as well as rocking his own solo shows at the Mandela Hall, The Limelight and The Alley Theatre. He is currently working on new solo show ‘Panic Groom’ and is a guaranteed smash with local audiences. Completing the bill is Belfast funny man PADDY McDONNELL, a regular at Belfast’s prestigious ‘Empire Laughs Back’, who has also shared stages with the likes of Patrick Kielty, Ardal O’Hanlon and Des Bishop.
