JBM Music is proud to present the ultimate reggae event, taking place in Staffordshire this coming Summer, at the incredible setting of Tutbury Castle. The breath-taking venue is a historic landmark steeped in many centuries of culture, and has been awarded ‘Ancient Monument’ status. A true feel-good celebration led by the sounds of a variety of music’s most legendary artists, ‘Giants of UK Reggae’ places firm emphasis on a care-free evening of unmatched reggae beats, celebrating all things Jamaican and care-free, but with a British twist. Bringing a truly stellar line-up from everybody’s favourite genre, the event will see Lewisham-born vocalist Maxi Priest airing his unique ‘reggae fusion’ sound to the crowd at the medieval setting, owned by the Duchy of Lancaster. Widely acclaimed as a pioneer of his R&B/reggae mix, Maxi is best known for tracks such as ‘Close To You’, which has racked up almost 20 million Spotify streams to date. Overlooking the River Dove in the Derbyshire hills, the setting of Tutbury Castle will welcome reggae-lovers for a truly innovative day of dancing, and Caribbean vibes. Joining the Londoner in the former home of Mary, Queen of Scots, is chart-topping collective, Aswad. Made up of Tony Robinson and Angus Gaye, the duo have scored UK number #1 singles in both the 80s and 90s, and will delight attendees at the Castle, which dates all the way back to the 13th century, on the lush green banks of Staffordshire. The line-up for the party is rounded off by Dawn Penn, the legendary songstress who scored worldwide success with her 1994 anthem ‘You Don’t Love Me (No No No)’. Beginning her career as early as 1966, Dawn has truly earned her stellar reputation as a giant of UK reggae, with fans of the genre buzzing with excitement at the arrival of a true musical legend in Burton-upon-Trent. With this one sure to sell out in record time, tickets for the biggest reggae party of the year are seriously HOT tickets! Grab yours ASAP to avoid disappointment and join us in July for a mesmeric day of action in the iconic setting of Tutbury Castle, as reggae lovers gather in one of the country’s most idyllic backdrops for a truly once-in-a-lifetime evening of action!
