BANG feat Forever in the Making, Setrakain, and Price of Agony

Our gig night, every other month at The Hairy Dog brings fresh music to Derby's best venue. Gigs run 6pm til 9pm - there's not a lot else to do on a Sunday except eat good dinner, have a nap, pop to a gig, and still get home early cos it's a school night, right?

Formed in 2013, Forever in the Making are a Metalcore band with a difference. Based in Derby (UK) their unique sound is created by combining the singing and screaming of front women Danie with metalcore riffs, big breakdowns and catchy choruses.

Involuntary outcasts hailing from Buxton, Derbyshire, Setrakain are a 5-Piece Metal band blending melodic and growling vocals over a dirty, hypnotic and headbanging inducing instrumental section. Featuring low tuned guitar riffs, catchy choruses, and driving rhythms a-plenty, blending beautifully with lyrics that are dynamically delivered with a passionate brutality. Setrakain's aim is to spread their message and gather the broken, the weird and the wonderful; The Defects.

Price of Agony is a 4-piece metal band from Nottingham, UK, influenced by bands such as Killswitch Engage, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, and Avenged Sevenfold, they’ve been described as, “Bullet for my Valentine meets Type O Negative.” Initially formed in a post-pandemic world in 2022 by guitarists and long-term friends Chris Pilmore and Zac O'Brien, before recruiting Dan Evans on bass in late 2023 and finalising the line up in early 2024 with the arrival of vocalist Paul Hughes. From crushing breakdowns and riffs accompanied by throat-ripping screams, to driving choruses with a baritone grunge complement, this innovative band of experienced live and recording musicians will take you on an energetic journey throughout their live set.

All bands are on a door split so they get a fair share of ticket sales - we take our expenses out AFTER bands have had their share. By supporting these gigs you are genuinely directly supporting bands. Of course as standard, unlike bigger venues neither us nor The Hairy Dog take commission from any merch sales.
