Megan Burtt and John Statz at Sir John Moore Foundation on Friday 26th October 2018
Megan played great gig for us last November and enjoyed it so much (despite the ghost interfering with the microphones) she has come back to see us again as part of her European tour.
Winner of the 2015 Best Singer/Songwriter Westword Music Awards, Megan has toured the US and abroad as a headlining artist, and as support for acts including Gregory Alan Isakov, Mark Cohen, Brett Dennen, Glenn Phillips of Toad The Wet Sprocket, Lissie, and Leanne Rimes. In 2015 she collaborated with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, as a featured artist. She is a prolific producer and has worked with many big named American artists.
Megan is has been in the studio working on her third full-length solo record, and is touring Europe promoting it.

John played a stunning gig for us in April last year. He too is touring in Europe promoting his new Album, 'Darkness on the San Juans' and has agreed to join up with Megan to play for us. John has released eight studio albums and performed all over North America (including Canada and Mexico) and Europe, all in just twelve years. The Boston Globe has called John’s music electric, urgent folk; aching, sweet country-rock while American Songwriter has said that he writes the kind of songs that float through your mind and stay nestled in your thoughts long after listening. On his last three albums John worked with some of the best producers in the genre: Bo Ramsey (Lucinda Williams, Greg Brown), Jeffrey Foucault, and Megan Burtt Nathan Edwards.
We have also been able to arrange for two brilliant local musicians, Dave Tighe and Nigel Bullock to play. Dave and Nigel played a stunning Bluesy set in the Cellar Bar last year with great harmonies and some atmospheric slide guitar. Expect more of the same!
