Review of Comedy at the Castle: Saturday night with Milton Jones and more.
Compère was a bit rude and sweary but as I wasn’t in the front row it didn’t bother me. 3 of the 4 comedians were brilliant including the hilarious Milton Jones. One of them made fun of the disabled and there were lots of ‘awkward’ laughs so I think he mis-read the crowd. The rest were great. Food was wonderful but overpriced, as were the drinks. A good night out and we’ll worth the babysitter.

Review of Comedy at the Castle: Saturday night with Milton Jones and more.
Something different for a Saturday night, comics were great, sets a bit shorter than expected but the quality of material was good. Change of 1 comedian from what was advertised, not sure if this was last minute but would have been nice to be informed. Always good food options from Digbeth Dining but never any decent wine at these things. Went for the c**ktails instead but they tasted weak. Food good, drinks disappointing. Venue magical.
Disgraceful that Chiltern Railways cancelled the last train home on the night when we were already at the venue, causing stress and frustration! No fault of the organisers of this event of course!

Review of Comedy at the Castle: Saturday night with Milton Jones and more.
Shame there weren’t enough proper seats and we had to sit on a very unstable wobbly bench. Comedy started with a couple both landing in a heap on the ground after leaning back on one! Comedy was great apart from one of the acts not being as billed. Too many breaks between acts especially as there was a limited choice of drinks available and it was getting cold! Could’ve done with a hot chocolate but no hot drinks at all! But having said all that, really enjoyed the evening! Oh and it’s a REALLY long walk from the car park to the venue which could be difficult for some people.

Review of Comedy at the Castle: Saturday night with Milton Jones and more.
The castle did look amazing at night all lit up. I found the food available not suitable for vegetarian who has a dairy allergy, I could have chips. The seating didn’t go all the way to back, after waiting with my friend group for over half hour for their pizza we were unable to get a proper seat and had to sit on a backless bench. For a show that’s hours long this is not comfortable or reflects the tick price for ‘a seat’. There were no hot drinks available, seemed mainly alcohol and fizzy soft drinks. As it was an outdoor venue in September I would of thought hot drinks would have been available. Especially for the drivers who were not drinking alcohol.
The first few acts were funny, I have never seen any of them live before, nor the headline, who I was very disappointed at, his jokes just weren’t my sort of funny.

Review of Comedy at the Castle: Saturday night with Milton Jones and more.
This event was absolutely fantastic! Extremely well organised! Especially as it was the first time this event had run! Fabulous, memorable atmosphere with the castle lit up. Seating was great and not squashed at all. Parking was easy. Drink and food vendors were great. Every single person on that stage made us really laugh our heads off and it was just brilliant. One of the best nights of comedy I have ever experienced, and one of the best nights out ever, to be honest! Looking forward to next time!

A fabulous line up of comedians. A Digbeth Dining Club event and I was disappointed by the limited amount and choice of vendors but the comedy and atmosphere and organisation was excellent.

Review of Comedy at the Castle: Saturday night with Milton Jones and more.
Bit disappointed that one of the support comedians had been changed without notice, but the advertised acts were great. The castle was an interestingly different place to be an audience member. Digbeth dining choices were excellent as always.
