Warwickshire Wild Food Foraging Walk on Saturday 11th August 2018
Learn about the array of edible plants and fungi growing all around us in the UK in summer in the historic village of Baginton, near Coventry, Warwickshire. On this walk, you'll discover how to identify some commonly growing foods to forage for, and hints on where to look.
When we meet up , we will go through the basics of foraging before heading out over a range of habitats, including access to a special venue land we have been granted permission to explore. Due to the nature of this special place, children attending must be 12 years old or over to attend and, unfortunately, dogs are not allowed.
During the walk, your forager will introduce you to a number of edible species, giving you tips on harvesting and correct identification. While doing this, you will have the opportunity to taste a range of pre-made wild food tasters and preserves.
