Harbottle & Jonas in Concert on Thursday 23rd April 2020
Usually playing 200 gigs each year, their entwined vocals have received plaudits from folk icons including Jon Boden (Bellowhead) and Rod Clements (Lindisfarne).
With names straight out of a Dickens's novel, Harbottle & Jonas are David Harbottle and Freya Jonas a young husband and wife duo based in Totnes Devon. The pair have developed a unique and original signature sound, often blending instruments such as concertina, harmonium and banjo to name a few. It is unmistakably Harbottle & Jonas.
Harbottle & Jonas have managed to establish themselves versatile in venue, original in song and one of the most exciting prospects on the folk circuit. Their new album 'Sea is My Brother' was released in February 2019 with rave reviews and Tom Robinson calling it 'fine contemporary folk music' on his 6music show. Disarmingly honest and spine-tingling moments - R2, 'Phenomenal' - BBC Introducing, 'Definitely one of the best act I've heard in a long while' - Music News.
