Comedy Night on Saturday 21st December 2019
Funhouse Comedy returns to the Abbey Theatre, Nuneaton on Saturday December 21st, for a Christmas Special night of fun and laughter.
Headlining the night is bestselling author and comedian Sam Avery aka ‘The Learner Parent, who is currently touring his show about his twin boys. He wanted to be a rock star and nearly made it as a member of DBH (Dirty Blue Hook); touring with Motorhead and Ice T. After a number of other jobs, he finally turned to stand-up and is renowned for his observational skills, quick wit and enthusiasm.
Support comes from English Comedian of the Year finalist 2017, Darius Davies. Likeable and energetic, he enthralls everyone with his hilarious and thought-provoking ideas.
Completing the line-up is finalist in the 2018 English Comedian Of The Year competition and ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ Finalist 2013, the dead pan Tom Taylor. His unique brand of musical comedy is smart and silly in equal measure and he boasts an impressive stock of quirky, and very funny, musical one-liners.
Compere for the night will be Barry Dodds, winner of Best MC, Midlands Comedy Awards for the last 4 years, who captivates everyone with his energy, spirit and tantalizing humour.
