Roman River Festival 2019 – Stoke by Nayland Weekend on Thursday 5th - Saturday 7th September 2019

Our Stoke by Nayland residency kicks off with a really exciting festival début – the sensational young Albanian-Greek violinist Jonian Ilias-Kadesha, whose inspiring playing has earned him concerto dates with orchestras throughout Europe including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Orlando Jopling conducts Beethoven, Debussy and Sibelius with the sensational handpicked players of the festival orchestra. Come to A Night at the Opera, it’s not to be missed! We’ve enticed four absolutely stunning young singers, in demand by the world’s best opera companies, to perform memorable operatic melodies, duets and ensembles by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini and many more. The Stoke by Nayland weekend ends with our Friendly, family orchestral concert, children’s author James Campbell introduces some of the most hummable and enjoyable orchestral music. Fun for the whole family, and a chance to join in.
