Review of Show Me Love
Bad atmosphere, queuing for EVERYTHING. Not good sound left early

The event itself was brilliant but queued for ages to get in which needed better organisation. The bar served quickly but limited drinks was horrible as not much choice. Drinking cans from Tesco at a £5er each is not good. The artists djs n music was amazing. Loved DJ luck n MC neat 👌❤️
Venue couldn't cope with that volume of people. Bar menu was shocking! The guy playing the trumpet was good but on the stage far too long. A bit more variety earlier on in the event may have stopped us leaving after 3 hours!
I was not impressed after having paid £27 for a ticket that I then had to queue outside in the cold for 30 minutes to get in, then after getting inside we then had to queue again for the bar and then queue again for the toilets. Also the drinks were ridiculously expensive 5 pound for a small tin of Smirnoff and C**e. The hall was very large and lacked some atmosphere. But couldn’t fault the music which was awesome and kept us dancing all night.
Music was amazing! Really enjoyed DJ Luck and MC Neat!
The venue and organisation let it down, queue’s for the ladies and bar were ridiculous!
I get drink prices are more expensive at events but the selection was poor.
Such a shame that these parts let the night down as the music was awesome!
The artists were amazing but the venue was horrific. We stood in the freezing cold outside for an hour to get in even though the event had been open for 90 minutes already. We queued over 20 minutes per toilet run, 25 minutes per bar run to buy tins of alcohol for £5 a can. The dance floor was a severe safety hazard with bottles cups beer and urine where people couldn’t be bothered to queue. The venue should stick to sports events and seated options this is not equipped for this type of event. They were disorganised and several short staffed. We left 90 minutes early, would not recommend this and would not return. The music was brilliant and the actual show was really good.
The most poorly organised event I have ever been to! 45mins queuing to get in, 45 mins queuing for a drink and 30mins walking around trying to find the cloakroom that was advertised, which ended up not being signed and staff either thought there wasn’t one or had no clue where it was. Luckily I didn’t need the toilet while I was there as the queue for the ladies was roughly around an hour (as I was told by friends). The organisers obviously wanted to sell out but clearly didn’t want to waste profits on making the event more enjoyable. There was a poor choice of drinks, only cans of mixed spirits and mixers / cheap mini bottles of wine and re-sold for £5 each. The sound system could be better as at times it was hard to hear vocals over the music. Definitely not worth the ticket price.
We loved it! Great night!
Well over priced for what it was. Spent half my evening queuing up for the toilet and for a drink. Each queue was so big it was going in and onto the “dance area”. Will not be returning to charter hall any time soon. My money back would be greatly appreciated. :)
Such a good night. Music was brilliant, the saxophone was amazing. Have already booked my next tickets.
Load of rubbish.
Overpriced with massive queues for everything.
In at 21:30 home by 23:00!
Worst money I’ve ever spent!
The venue was big enough but the time to get in and put coats away was too long. the cues for the toilets were ridiculous, the drink options were over priced considering they were a choice of canned mixers and choice was very limited. Some staff were allowing unopened cans to avoid lengthy waiting times while others opened all cans making it difficult. The music was ok however a garage night it was not and we were hugely disappointed at how disjointed the music and dj’s were. The dancers which we were led to believe would have been performers were just dancers and no other performance as advertised. A let down, not worth the ticket money which I feel really let down by.
Over. Priced drinks new they would be high but not that much and not great system for toilet for ladies needed more to help the night flow!
Great night , fantastic music ... just need to sort the toilet situation out . Perfect amount of people .. so we could all dance ..
Really long queue to get in, especially as it was tickets only - rude staff and toilet queue was ridiculous - must have been about an hour long. Bar was expensive and limited but this was the most organised bit. Music was good but sound quality not the best.
Portia Madison Taylor
It was a amazing night well done
Awful event !!!biggest waste of money!!so disappointed !Going to be asking for a refund!!
There weren’t enough toilets and queues were awful for the ladies. Bar was also long queue and not as much choice as I would have liked. The actual music was great
Music and acts were great, atmosphere was good. Drinks were overpriced but standard for events I suppose.
Venue needed more ladies toilets and bigger bar lots of queuing. But was great night
Had to queue for an hour to get in even though tickets had been purchased before. Had to queue for over half hour for toilets and the bar. Drinks were limited choice and expensive. Very disappointing. If the music wasn’t as good as it was I would have left.
Music was great , venue was like a school disco , event badly organised. Bar well never seen anything like it . Drinks well over priced!!
Que for the toilets was absolutely crazy. And the que to get a drink was just as bad.
The event was over priced for what it was. The queues for toilets and the bar were ridiculous. It was just like a school disco, there was no decorations or adequate seating area. The music and the live acts were good, but it was just a very poor venue choice.
This was a fabulous well organised night. The music and acts were amazing. Will definitely be attending another Show Me Love event
Music was good but it was absolute chaos and ridiculous massive queues for the toilet and bar. No where to sit down or any table etc. Just a big bare empty hall.
We arrived at 9.00pm and had to queue for 45 minutes to get in. The toilet queue was so long it went half way across the dance floor. There was not enough bar services and we had to stand in cattle grid railings for 30 minutes to get a drink which led to panic buying. The floor was so slippy and wet and there were bottles and cans everywhere. Understaffed and over sold. I had a good time because I made sure I had a good time as I was with my friends and we made the best of a rubbish situation. £27... I was definitely robbed!! Try focusing on quality and not quantity. Double the amount of bars, get some ports loos and it might just have been okay. Did greed prevail? You just could not cater for the demand.
Amazing music and line up
Bar was really rubbish with a small selection of drinks at extortionate prices
Toilet ques were horrendous
Needed some more lighting around the venue as it felt a bit like a school disco
The que for the bar was also tediously long 50/60 deep most times
Had a great time- only downside was the queues for the loos!!
