Review of Astley Santa's Grotto
You could tell a lot of effort had gone into making this a magical experience for the kids. The storyteller in particular was hilarious. All the staff were so lovely and it was a great experience for me and my friends little girl xx

Review of Astley Santa's Grotto
Absolutely amazing experience! The hall was decorated beautifully and the staff were just perfect for the kids. They were so friendly, welcoming, animated and made us laugh. We loved the 12 days of Christmas theme and every detail was just stunning.

Review of Astley Santa's Grotto
Disappointed with the whole experience, from the moment we arrived we were told that Santa has cameras in every room and is watching if you are naughty, we were told not to touch anything whilst waiting in the store room and another very dark room with only a Christmas tree in, which resulted in my 3 year old becoming bored and disregulated very quickly. We were then moved to another room which did have toys and colouring to do (it would have been better if we went into this room first, rather than the store room), then we were moved to another room where there was story telling but by this point my child was so over excited to see Santa that it was unrealistic to expect him to sit down and listen to a story for 25 minutes.
On the initial email they were very strict about arrival times so I expected that we would be seeing Santa straight away, not waiting for 1 hour to see him for what was quite literally 1 minute where my child was "bribed" to smile for the camera before Santa gave him a present.
Overall, very disappointing experience and had I known that it would take one hour to see Santa I would not have gone as this is an unreasonable amount of time to expect a 3 year old to wait patiently and as they kept saying "be a good boy".

Review of Astley Santa's Grotto
Such a disappointing experience, I certainly wouldn't recommend or return next year. It's clear that they got greedy and oversold on tickets, we booked a 10 minute slot at 4.10, however we didn't see Santa until over an hour later. It transpires that they booked approximately 5 families onto the same 10 minute slot as us. We had to queue outside in the dark and rain for the first 15 minutes, before being moved into a storage room and then three separate waiting rooms thereafter. Our kids, and every other kid waiting, were getting restless due to the amount of time we were left waiting. The staff then told the children "Santa has a camera and he won't bring you any presents if you are naughty" - which is frankly, inappropriate. I wouldn't use Santa as a means of behaviour management with my own child, I certainly don't expect others to indulge in that method with him. My son is one years old, keeping a one year old entertained for over an hour with limited stimulation opportunities was a difficult task but in the circumstances, he was pretty well behaved. I didn't appreciate the threats of Santa not visiting or being made to wait for as long as we did.
In the interest of being fair, they provided some colouring in the third waiting room and some Christmas books in the fourth. However, this was too little too late.

Review of Astley Santa's Grotto
We had to wait 30 mins before starting which I don't mind if there were some seats. , the journey through the house was ok and the guy in kitchen was great very engaging.
But ..the main event Santa was very disappointing , just sat back in his chair mumbling .
No jollyness at all or engaging with my daughter.
I felt I had to interact to get Santa to talk .
My daughter did enjoy it- best thing was the train ride .

Review of Astley Santa's Grotto
The staff were lovely and tried hard to keep everyone happy. But the event was very unorganised! Young children waiting ages in a queue. Firstly, kept outside in the rain...past our time slot. Then moved to different rooms 4 times to queue some more. Only to see Santa for 30 seconds. No atmosphere at all.

Review of Astley Santa's Grotto - Relaxed Session
The time spent at this session was priceless! Beautiful room, warm welcome, accommodating staff nothing was too much trouble!
The room was decorated beautifully and included toys for the children to play with 😊 singing then ?... Santa arrived so lovely. Each child was given time for Santa with a suitable gift and time for photos. A fabulous morning ! I don't think you could find anything better and the price was amazing! Thanks to all for a fantastic time for my grandsons first Christmas 🎄
