Review of Chorley\'s Santa Express
My son thoroughly enjoyed his Santa Express trip, the train there and back was amazing for him. The Father Christmas was great and he spoke to my son who was completely taken in with the magic of it all. Then we had something to eat and he got his face painted for free as Rudolph. Only downside was when we got to Astley Hall it was a 15 minute wait out in the rain & cold until the doors opened at 10am maybe having a large gazebo outside would be better if people have to wait
Everything was very nice i would say only one thong that there could be more for the children to do while you are on the park but still overall enjoyable
Astley Hall was beautiful. The staff were very friendly. Value for money to, as we got a train ride, face paint, visited santa and got a age appropriate toy that was decent. Overall the kids loved it and it didht break the bank.
An amazing, magical experience for all our family from beginning to end. Thank you for a lovely start to our Christmas celebrations.
Caught 1st train there and arrived had to wait outside in wind and rain for 20 minutes till door opened. Stated before queue we were early for our 11 slot, told thatís ok, queued 25 minutes to be told at door to Santa that we would have to go back to the start of the queue as we were early. Grumpy three year old starts screaming and so we were allowed through on this occasion Ď. No real atmosphere, no music to speak of, lovely little grotto and fab face painter (well hidden in another building). Not worth the effort really been to more cheerful and friendly events.
Fantastic experience for families, well organised and reasonably priced, lovely present from Santa too
Really enjoyed this, the train was fun, the hall was beautifully decorated and not overcrowded & the present received was my perfect for my 3 year old. Only let down was the weather!
I have only given 3 stars for the atmosphere. I realise that it is a very popular event and I was expecting to queue to see Father Christmas (who was wonderful) however it would have been better if there was some music playing or even something for the children to do while they waited. A male member of staff needs to lighten up and not be so negative. He obviously isn't a fan of children. He needs to learn how to address people. The ladies however were very friendly and spoke to the children (I am not sexist) Inspite of this we had a wonderful time and well done to the staff who were manning the Santa express in such awful weather
Its a brilliant not-to-be missed Christmas experience for children (oh yes and parents and grandparents). Incredible value for money and a wonderful lead into Christmas.
A STEM gift from Santa. Awesome!
