Cinema Under the Stars: The Mercy [12A] on Wednesday 25th July 2018

‘The Mercy’ is the incredible true story of Donald Crowhurst, who attempted to circumnavigate the world in the Sunday Times Golden Globe race, only for it to end in disaster.
An amateur sailor, his inexperience and loneliness at sea led to terrible physical struggles and an increasingly fraught mental state. He left his family behind to try and win this race, but would he ever see them again?
Colin Firth and Rachel Weisz star in ‘The Mercy’, a gripping drama of one man’s obsession and the wreckage he left in his wake.

Please note this is an Open-air event in the Tuckwell Amphitheatre (Sat Nav: GL51 6HE). For a map click here. Please bring low-backed seating and prepare for all weathers. In the event of unsafe weather this event will transfer into the Bacon Theatre. Please check this webpage for updated details on the day.
