Fundraiser for Michael Carter - Vegan food, handmade items etc on Sunday 10th June 2018

Fundraising event to raise funds for Michael Carter who recently suffered a stroke after open heart surgery. Michael is in his early 30's and the stroke happened about 4 weeks ago. The aftermath of the stroke caused him to lose strength on one side of his body and he lost his speech. Since 4 weeks ago he has progressed very well, he has the ability to move his hands and is able say words like 'no' and 'well'. He has became stronger physically but his speech is still limited. At our event we will be raising money to help during his treatment and aftercare. The money raised will go to helping his parents pay their rent whilst out of work caring for him, money for mobility aids and to pay for any physio/ speech therapy as well as making his room more adaptable for him e.g getting him a sofa bed.

At the event there will be Vegan food stalls, handmade items by independent sellers varying from alternative clothing to art and handmade beauty products. Also we will have a £1 raffle where you can win one of 25+ prizes - these included meals for 2, clothing vouchers and various other items.... you have to be in it to win it!
