the event was terrible, the music was so loud it spoilt the event.  we were expecting xmas carols and orchestra . it was so bad more than 50 percent walked out at the interval including us.   We suggest you look at the set up of the acoustics, microphones etc.  I have never walked out of an event before and felt i had no choice in this on e

Review of Christmas The Candlelight Concert

Really poorly advertised, was expecting Christmas carols, but it was more like Christmas karaoke.

Better than we anticipated a very full evening of lively entertainment and singing. First class. Not sure the hall decorations looked as good as promotion pictures. But the venue made up for that. 
Perhaps a bit more detail when booking; is there a bar, are there snacks, is there a cloakroom, car parking, disabled facilities, warmth of venue. Thank you.

I booked tick*ts on balcony and then got put in front row by the speaker so wasn't amused.

It made us feel very Christmassy and they tried real hard to get the audience participation 

We left at the interval having been disappointed with the selection of music Musicians were excellent but singers too loud and screeching Wouldn't go again
Also felt buried at row P and couldn't see the stage

The music was incredibly loud for such a small area, I do find certain pitches of music painful to my ears, in fact several people left half way through, as did we, because it was too loud.  The venue is beautiful, however describing it as a candle lit concert was stretching it.  Yes there were candles, but the stage was so brightly lit, the candles didn't have any impact.

I don't feel the advert was clear at all in terms of what it was We were expecting more of a classic/ carol concert.
