Hens, Pens and Heroines Mothering Weekend on Saturday 21st - Sunday 22nd March 2020
Celebrate Mother’s Day at Birdland with our plucky hens and learn the lengths different species will go to protect their precious chicks.
Over the weekend, the talks programme will highlight some of Birdland’s hardest-working hens, pens and heroines, providing a fascinating insight into how they care for their young.
Treat the family and your mum to a bite to eat in the Flamingo Point Café, overlooking the River Windrush, before discovering hundreds of extraordinary birds in the wildlife park.
The Bourton-on-the-Water attraction is home to over 500 birds ranging from England’s only breeding colony of king penguins and awesome birds of prey to parrots, cassowaries and cranes in a mix of free-flying and enclosed habitats.
