The young Irishman they are calling the rightful heir to Rory Gallagher and Gary Moore is back on the road in 2018 with his jet-fuelled band.
Review of Simon McBride
brilliant performance from the band in front of a very appreciative audience
Would you recommended: Yes
Absolutely amazing. Great guys to talk to as well which makes it even better. Must see
One of the best bands that has been in Carlisle for a long time. He was better than Joe Bonnamassa!! My only criticism is the fire station does not seem to advertise very well! We knew about it from FB but not everyone uses FB. Carlisle is the apathy centre of GB I don't know what you have to do to get people off there backsides and support the brilliant music. We also went to see the fantastic Marcus Malone their again another brilliant night but support was disgusting only about 40 people. They really don't know what good night's they are missing. I like the ordering on line with Skiddle and giving my name when you go in to be marked off saves loosing tickets. Disappointed I never got tickets for Live Wire though. Waiting to see it advertised and they were sold out before hand. Keep up the good work and keep the Live Music flowing!!🎵🎶🎵🎶 925;🎶🎵🎶
I've seen Simon McBride before and he is a very capable singer and guitarist. The band has changed but the music was still sounding good with some good solos.
Great music from a talented band but with the drums miked up the sound got too loud for a small venue.
I was wearing ear protection, but it was still hard to tolerate.
View of the stage was obscured by people standing inches away from the singer. A bit of a gap between the band and the punters would have allowed more to see. The wheelchair user next to us must have seen very little.
First time for us @ old fire station, was pleased to see that there a few seats available .. a friend from Nottingham said Simon McBride was a must to see ,so was very pleased when I saw he was playing in Carlisle ..what an awesome band and I wasn't disappointed
they are I undoubtedly think they are underrated and should be up there with the likes of Bonnamassa and Satriani
I thourely recommend going to see this trio... the Bass player has an awesome sound and the drummer just makes this band too
Would I go see them again? absolutely yes I would ..just hope they would come back to The old fire station .
