Cumbria Film Archive on Tuesday 6th November 2018

A unique evening of entertainment when you can go time travelling into the past with another sensational set of atmospheric old films from The Cumbria Film Archive. Gleaned from public and private collections we have put together a memorable show delving into Cumbria’s past.
We are very close to Armistice Day and that is why we are devoting the first half of the evening to Cumbria at war. We look at many different aspects of life on the home front. We have also discovered a special local training film that will be shown for the first time tonight.
In part two of the show we travel around the county. Our varied films include old footage of the Lake District going back to the 1930s. We also have a special feature on one of our best loved lost railways ... the Cockermouth, Keswick & Penrith line. The films have been restored and produced with an informative commentary.
Don’t miss this evening where we go on a trip into the past with The Cumbria Film Archive.
