awesome atmosphere, made you realise how small man is in comparison to the universe, how insignificant we are! Yet we have such a devastating influence on the world

really good show
The music was excellent. The queue to get in wasnât good. The staff on duty were efficient, helpful and friendly. The show was good but it didnât last long. It would have been better in a larger venue.

Amazing light show, stunning colours. Sound was a little loud on a couple of places but was great sound quality. Well organised and very well put together. We found it a very enjoyable and memorable experience

I was glad that Carlisle put this on, but I felt it could've been 'bigger and better'. It lacked 'gusto'. In particular, the lights around the city could've been more ambitious - how about turning some if the street lights and shop signs off? Maybe having a few stalls selling hot drinks and food?
very short. not what we expected from the flyer
Cathedral took on a new life. Enjoyed the experience.
it did nothing for me.
A spectacular event
Amazing show for adults and kids!
Quite stunning light show, with appropriate audio.
A wonderful unique experience in a beautiful and atmospheric setting. What can I say?. Out of this world. !!
Well done to all involved
Show in Cathedral excellent - rest of lights in Carlisle less so. Confusing Skiddle details for tickets one evening showed 6.30 to 7.30 but tickets were for 8.45 - another 6.30 - 10.30 but last tickets 8.45. Bit of a mess boys!
Beautiful event, enjoyed by both kids and adults
Absolutely brilliant. Even my 14 year old daughter described it as awesome.
The music was great and very atmospheric and the light show was amazing.
Rather a short performance - more commentary would have been helpful. - music rather loud but generally enjoyed the light experience .The staff were very helpful and the organisation getting everyone into the cathedral at the correct time was excellent - well done to them!

It was well organised but over in just a few minutes; I expected something more spectacular
we walked from the train station via the Citadel towards the Carlisle cathedral , sadly the displays were rather lame to be honest, so much more could have been done with them especially Carlisle Castle.... but once inside the cathedral we were blown away by the concept and presentation - so you kept the best until last!
Really enjoyed it. Met friends for dinner then walked through town. Great way to get people into the town.Great little event.
Fabulous evening and great to see so many people enjoying the atmosphere.
Spectacular event in a stunning venue
Great event in Carlisle and fabulous to see the Cathedral used and shown off in this way.
Great in the cathedral but the other venues were disappointing as just still lights no projection.
I was extremely disappointed with this experience, particularly regarding the "music" that was chosen to accompany the lights display. To say I was underwhelmed could even be an exaggeration. The very title given the exhibition: SPACE: God, the Universe and Everything indicated, to me at least, that one might expect to experience something more profound than actually materialised. In the end it was simply noisy and shallow, almost wholly due to to the audio impact. I know there was a warning that the sound effects would be loud but I am convinced that a more sensitive approach, given the building and its own splendid music traditions, would have made the event much more of a moving experience.
Great night, lights in rest of city could have been better but cathedral was brilliant
Enjoyed very much
Truly glorious experience, the setting and music, the choice of images and lighting. Perfect!
Melanie J Ryan
The space was not ideal because of the internal architecture which spoiled and distorted the images. Also there wasn’t enough time between sessions for everyone to sit down before the start of the show. Apart from that I enjoyed the concept and the music.
It was great. Please come back again next year.
Really lovely and awe inspiring. It was a lovely evening for my 10 year old son and I thank you
Really interesting event
Mr Chris M Simpson
Nice building but really poor as a screen/background. Poor seating position made watching really awkward. The later exhibit was better in most respects. Lack of any information on entry did not help at all, though we discovered it was available.
Brilliant event in the wonderful setting of Carlisle Cathedral. However the use of cameras/mobiles must be banned during the light show. Much was spoilt by people holding up mobiles which both shielded the view whilst blinding you with the bright screen lights. Wouldn't be allowed in pictures /plays for this exact reason.
Fabulous... would definitely recommend!
Original, atmospheric experience.
Would have liked to see it again from a better seat.
Bad place at the front to see the images
Rubbish, the cathedral show was ok, rest the town show unbelievably poor!
Photos came out really well with great colours
We saw the beginning as we were leaving! All too rushed. Most of cantent was just flashing lights. Very hard to discern any "script"
A fantastic experience, I hope it takes place again next year.
Wonderful, atmospheric location and technically very good. Music good but sound quality didn't do it justice. The theme of God and the Universe was very good, however the experience could have had more
impact if the scientific symbols and formulae had been in a more logical order and the quick flashing images of human achievement towards the end, had been less quick, so people would have had time to realise exactly what they represented.
Lovely venue and The sound quality of the music was great. But I thought the music choice could have been better. Music can really make an atmosphere but more recognisable/classical music would have been preferred. Vangellis or Beethoven or even John Williams would have given me goosebumps! Also , as I had 3 kids with me I was hoping for some facts/educational info as my kids are interested in the planets!
Worthwhile trip to see something completely different
Felt very rushed round- it wasn't clear that the initial seated section had started and had no idea what we were meant to be looking at- sadly I don't think the cathedral ceiling and walls lent themselves to being projected onto clearly. There was one bit at the near the exit that was great- a vault like area with very clear projections- but sadly as we were about to find a space to stand and look we were ushered out by a guide. A lovely idea but poorly executed.
Not very well organised. Really difficult to make things out as we were too close and there was no way of moving further away
