Cardiff Autumn Foraging Courses on Sunday 14th October 2018
This beautiful city centre park is surprisingly plentiful in wild plant, flower and mushrooms species throughout the year.
We will meet at the Castle Street entrance to the park outside the Pettigrew Tearooms at 12pm.The course then starts with a 20 minute introduction on how to forage safely and sustainably, and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.
We’ll then set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the park and along the beautiful riverside, stopping to talk about the different edible and poisonous plants, fruits and mushrooms that we come across. We then discuss and taste our finds over a light lunch.
Ideal for both the total novice and the intermediate forager looking to improve their knowledge, it is also an ideal family outing!
