I enjoyed Joshua Burnell and Francis Sladen and Heidi Beck however I thought the main act, Sarah Jane Scouten was very poor and I left about half way through her performance.

I thought Woody Mann had practised a lot over his many years of playing and had amazing technique on the guitar but personally I could find neither a groove or any tunes in his whole performance. He made simple music very complicated.
I guess someone who liked jazz may have appreciated it.
We left in the break.

Maxwell James had a great voice and enjoyed his set. Ponchartrain were dire and we left after a little way into the set.

Amazingly good music for a small town and small venue. Great friendly atmosphere, good humour, but this would even better of it were out of the Conservative Club and in a neutral venue, maybe the Paget Rooms?

Review of ST Patrick\'s Night / Noson Sant Padrig

It was the first time we had been to this venue which we found with no problem. The resident compere was very good as was the supporting singer and story teller D**k Johns. The top artists, Chris Newman and Máire Ní Chathasaigh were absolutely fabulous and a joy to experience.
