The Black Horse Inn, originally known as the Horse and Groom, was established in the village of Swaffham Bulbeck as far back as 1765. It was renamed the Black Horse in the 1870’s, occupying the current premises from around 1889. Situated 10 miles from Cambridge and Newmarket, if offers 3 star accommodation towards the rear, as well as a restaurant offering a wide range of choice, and also a signature dish. A wide selection of real ales and fine wines are also on offer. This can be enjoyed around a open fire during the winter months. This also included the Black Horse's own ale, The Crossley Ale. The Inn overlooks a village green, in a very pretty village
