Thorny: FAKA + more TBA on Friday 29th June 2018
It's official. We're bringing the iconic FAKA to Bristol for a full scale night of sweaty underground sound and expressive performance. Across both decks at Bristol's premier party boat Thekla.
FAKA is a multi-disciplinary cultural movement, conceived by artists Fela Gucci and Desire Marea. They established the project to express ideas about themes central to their experiences as black queer bodies, navigating the cis-hetero-topia of post-colonial Africa.
A limited run of early bird tickets are on sale now - and stay tuned for an announcement of the full programme.
CANNOT WAIT ♥
Early bird tickets £10 + optional donation*.
*We're committing to booking taxis home for any QTIPOC guests who want one. Please consider adding a £2 donation to your ticket which will contribute towards funding this.
We're also reserving a limited number of free tickets for people on a low income who want to come but can't afford to. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like one.
Thekla Bristol is a former cargo ship with steps by the entrance to upper and lower decks. The venue is not wheelchair accessible.
