Bristol Roots Syndicate & Dub Encounters presents a unique night of dub, 2 of the best roots sound systems in the UK going head to head, Jah Tubby’s featuring Gregory Fabulous playing opposite Roots Injection Sound System featuring Brother Culture with Idren Natural. Expect killer bass, beautiful vocals and some of the heaviest rhythms you are ever likely to hear.

Jah Tubbys was established in 1971, they have been playing their sound system and building sound equipment for nearly 45 years. Hosting regular nights around London in the late 70’s and establishing the Jah Tubbys and Y&D record labels by the mid 80’s, Jah Tubbys was a formidable force, playing with some of the biggest sound systems of the time. Nowadays, Jah Tubbys is recognised globally as one of the best sound systems and equipment builders around.
Jah Tubbys will be joined on the night by their resident mic-man Gregory Fabulous.
Gregory Fabulous first discovered music during his church upbringing where he watched and learnt from the musicians around at that time, developing his natural talent for playing drums and other instruments.
Now a prolific artist, songwriter and producer, this musical directing engineer is a multi talented individual producing a wide variety of artists within the Dread UK Studios.
Expect a strong uplifting voice, with beautiful harmonies, that match perfectly the heavyweight sound of Jah Tubbys.
Roots Injection Sound System
Roots Injection founder, Ras Muffet has been involved in the roots & culture sound system scene for more than 30 years.
In the 1970's he was part of Jah Shaka's crew, he then went on to start a sound system called Jah Marcus that played successfully across the north and the midlands. In the beginning of the 80's he started the Fari Studio, and began focusing on his production and studio side more.
Ras muffet regularly releases music on his label 'Roots Injection', and has been supplying many of the names you see today with exclusive music.

Conroy has been involved in the music scene for years, you may recognize him from Alpha & Omega Sound System. Beavis currently runs his own smaller sound system also, Roots Radical Sound System.
Born and Raised in the Midlands UK, Idren Natural has come from the Sound System Culture from the late 70s early 80s.
Influenced by the old school of the veteran Jamaican artists like Black Uhuru, Hugh Mundell , Willie Williams, Israel Vibration , Don Carlos , Junior Delgado, Barry Brown... & Sound Systems like Jah Shaka, Stereograph, Java, Nyahman, Jungelman, Black Axe, Jah Yabbys, Malachi
At the end of 80s Idren Natural move to Leeds and create with Ras Iyah, InI Oneness.
It was in the Early 90s Dub Roots was on the rise in UK, This is when Idren Natural began promoting Rastafarian music and arts, and started putting on some Roots Dub sessions at the Local west Indian Centre in Leeds.
Idren Natural first recorded, in 1991, with Jacob Naphtali & Reuben Unitone in Bedford, Tune Called 'Highest Region', which was re-mixed by Dread & Fred, released on LP/CD on High, Jah Shaka Label, this lead to live performances & recordings with Dread & Fred/Ironworks Crew from early 90s.

Brother Culture is an MC based in Brixton, London. He started his career around 1982 for Jah Revelation Muzik sound system. As part of the Twelve Tribes of Israel Rasta brotherhood, Brother Culture has toured in the USA, Jamaica, Caribbean and Canada throughout the 80’s.
In 1991 started to MC at London's now legendary Dub Club, where he forged a reputation for being a powerful and diverse MC and singer. In the subsequent years, Brother Culture, has become one of the busiest Reggae artists in the world! He has done shows in most countries, many times being the first Reggae artist to ever perform there.
Brother Culture is part of the Reggae Roast Sound System, which has a monthly residency at Brixton Jamm in London, UK. He is also a member of a new 'super group' called Digital Messiahs featuring: Brother Culture, Colourman, Donovan Kingjay and Vibration Lab, with their debut LP soon to be release
