BAND STATEMENT

Album Release Postponed!

It’s with much regret that I have to announce that the album launch is being postponed until the spring tour in April next yearAll the October tour shows are going ahead as planned, except for the Bristol album launch at SWX, which will be moved to April 14th. Existing tickets will remain valid for the new date and the promoter will be in touch to explain the change. We also have a replacement Bristol show for the 7th October at Fiddlers which is on sale now: https://buytickets.at/theundercoverhippy1/752223. Really sorry to have to do this guys! I tried soooo hard to get it finished in time! But we’ll have a single coming out very soon, plus more singles to keep you going until April. If you’ve already pledged to the crowdfund then you’ll be sent all the singles as soon as they’re out. To learn more about why this is happening, check the video. Thanks for your patience and support!

Drum & Bass MC turned singer-songwriter Billy Rowan, aka The Undercover Hippy, is on a mission to make people think, laugh, and dance simultaneously. Described by Tom Robinson (BBC6Music) as being “like the love-child of Steel Pulse, Kate Tempest and The Sleaford Mods”, his music brings together powerful messages, infectious reggae rhythms, and an almost surgical lyrical dexterity. Renowned for the electric atmosphere of their live shows, Billy and his band never fail to leave the crowd feeling inspired and energised, playing tours and festivals across the UK and Europe. Combining intelligent, provocative lyrics with dangerously catchy hooks and a feel good groove, this is music for the thinking person to shake their arse to. Think Natty meets Eminem…on a protest march…at the Edinburgh Fringe.
