Shall Not Fade on Friday 13th October 2017
In:Motion 2017 Shall Not Fade
Top Ten Billing:
It’s always a roadblock when the Shall Not Fade (SNF) crew slides back into Bristol. As one of the leading deep house labels in operation, they’ve built up a reputation for bringing some of the freshest talent to Motion and its all lifted from their enviable roster. For an imprint that’s only been going two years they’ve achieved a lot, and now they’re back with one of their strongest line-ups to date.
Guest of honour is Andres, the Detroit house don who blew everyone away in 2012 with the swooning beauty of his biggest hit “New For U”, topping every end of year chart going. Of course his story runs much deeper than that, having come up alongside legends such as Moodymann and Theo Parrish to bring true, gritty soul back to house music. As a DJ you can expect him to pull out the stops as he skirts between soul, funk, boogie and house music with the skill of a natural born selector. This’ll be his debut SNF showcase appearance, weeks before his release on Shall Not Fade 016 drops.
Alongside Andres you can also savour the lo-fi house delights of 2016 breakthrough act DJ Seinfeld and DJ Boring, whose “Winona” jam found its way into record bags and online debates alike when it dropped last year - who’ll both be representing the SNF sub-label Lost Palms. Shall Not Fade label regular Adryiano will be winging over from Germany with his own twist on deeper shades of 4/4, and the SNF mainstay LK and label manager KGW will be on hand to keep the vibe right from the start of the night right through ‘til dawn.
Music Genres: Deep/Soulful House, Electronic, House
