Review of Bristol Hi-Fi: Daddy G + Queen Bee + Mr Ben *An Easter Special*
The music was not what I was expecting at all - it was very old school, lots and lots of 80s music being played - which is totally fine if the DJs were going for a 'wild bunch' type play list but this wasn't explicitly advertised. I think we need more information on the event advertising as to what sort of set is going to be played as both Queen B and Daddy G can play other sets involving a lot more DnB and jungle.

Just like Bristol used to be: relaxed vibe, no pretence, no phones recording or taking selfies. Just great tunes, happy people dancing and enjoying the music. Loved this event and Lost Horizon was the perfect venue. Big enough to create an atmosphere (with a lovely outside area) but small enough not to loose your friends! Such a great night!

Review of The Fantasy Orchestra Presents: Tropicália + La Bomba Afterparty
Fantasy Orchestra are absolutely wonderful, such great energy. Sadly, Lost Horizons was completely the wrong venue for them. They are not only musicians, but also performers and the stage at Lost Horizon is too low and too small for them to be visible, a large part of the orchestra had to be on the same level as the audience, rendering them invisible.
It also meant the choir was the other end of the hall and completely inaudible. Plus, quite a high percentage of the audience were of an age where a seat would be welcome. Fortunately, I had contacted the venue requesting some seats, so we were catered for. When the Fantasy Orchestra last performed in Bristol it was in a church, which was brilliant

This was a truly exciting vibrant event, wonderful costumes, superb orchestra and choir, great bar service as well as an outstanding after party....can't wait for their next event!!!!
