That Thing on International Women's Day on Friday 8th March 2019

Our inaugural Bristol party falls on International Women's Day so we thought the best way to mark the occasion was with an all female line up, which looks like this...

(In alphabetic order)
FAUZIA (NTS)
(https://soundcloud.com/fauzimoto / https://www.facebook.com/DJFAUZIA / https://www.instagram.com/fauzia.1 / https://twitter.com/fauzimoto)
NTS Resident & Shook member FAUZIA explores the sounds of high energy club music spanning footwork, jungle & beyond. Her NTS shows have featured artists such as Mall Grab, Kode9 & DJ Taye allowing her to explore all the depths of club music. Making her Boiler Room debut this year, FAUZIA is quickly becoming a staple in London’s underground club scene.

FFINN (Slugwife)

Hailing from Singapore and currently based in Bristol, UK, SLUG WIFE resident DJ FFINN’s journey as a selector started over a decade ago when she made eclectic mixtapes for friends. With a keen interest in moving a crowd and with it, her freeform sets have the tendency to become unapologetically volatile on the dance floor, peppered with cheeky classics. Working in parallel to SLUG WIFE’s ethos, FFINN constantly seeks out various ways to blur the lines between genres in her music selections, with the firm belief that groove knows no boundaries.

Minnie Malloi
(https://soundcloud.com/beccymalloi)
Hi there I'm Minnie Malloi and I have a penchant for old skool jungle. I used to DJ and organise music fundraising events in London and Suffolk before living in Bristol, Spain and now Sweden. After playing at the now infamous 'Seshlehem' tent at Rec Roc festival a while back, I now have a plan to take over the Stockholm free raves with some big old amen-filled bangers whilst no-one is looking. Can't wait to play some classics I hope you will enjoy brocking out to. Peace x

Misogyfist
(https://soundcloud.com/misogyfist / https://www.mixcloud.com/morehypedthanilook/kast-misogyfist-more-hyped-summer-all-dayer-2017)
The best DJ to ever come out of Watofrd (unless you count LTJ Bukem and who's even heard of him?) Misogyfists skills on the decks are second to none, she absolutely torn the place a part when she warmed up for Fracture at our first party in Liverpool last year. Expect 60 minutes of deep sub bass and frenetic drums coming in at 160 BPM

Miss Kendal
Miss Kendal is a strictly vinyl DJ, she's never recorded a mix and has no socials so I have no back up for this but believe me, if you catch a set of hers you're in for a treat. Drawing inspiration from the likes of the Dub One, Equinox and the Outside Agency, it's gonna get dark with mixing so tight you'll be pushed to know where one track finished and the next starts.

Runt Of The Shitter
With a taste for some of the weirdest, harshest breakcore, gabba and most things +200 bpm this is a rare opportunity to see the lighter side of RotS. On warm up duties for the evening, you'll be treated to some lovely electronic wonderments, if you get down early enough.

No advance tickets, £5 on the door before 12, £7 after with all profits going to the Bloody Good Period campaign via Aid Box Community, helping to tackle period poverty in Bristol's refugee community.

THAT THING -
PROMOTING UNDERGROUND CLUB MUSIC WITH A LEANING TOWARDS JUKE, FOOTWORK AND JUNGLE

We're not affiliated with the shop of the same name but we'd recommend them if you're after some new garms. Independent Bristol, init?

Music Genres:

Bass Music, Jungle
