Brighton Theatre Group Youth: Chicago (High School Edition) on Tuesday 5th - Saturday 9th March 2019

Prepare to see a story of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery and treachery, all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts in this extraordinary Kander and Ebb musical.

Chicago (High School Edition) is a specially adapted version of this classic musical that maintains the plot, score and Fosse styled choreography, but is specially adapted to make it more appropriate for both young and old audience members to enjoy. Set in the 1920’s and telling the stories of vaudevillians Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, both charged with murder, it takes us to clubs, to prison and the five merry murderesses, to celebrity and ultimately freedom.

Famed for its Fosse choreography that will be seen in this production and its famous score including musical theatre classics such as All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango, When You’re Good To Mama, Mr Cellophane, and of course, Razzle Dazzle, Chicago (High School Edition) is not to be missed. Performed by BTGY, the best of Brighton and Hove’s young talent.

This amateur production of Chicago (High School Edition) is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.
