Review of Spirit with Alexis Taylor (hot chip) and Luke Solomon

Neil was good but poor mixing by some DJ's and if we wanted Spellbound music we would have gone to that event. We just wanted what we paid to hear. Lovely people, staff and atmosphere though.

A great venue and a lot of work went into setting everything up so that you to the organisers for that. Unfortunately the DJ who played the set between 7.30 and 9pm was absolutely dreadful. The music was all over the place, really slow, no builds and drops, no bpm.  Absolutely killed the vibe on the dancefloor.  Some of our friends left but we stuck it out and thankfully the last DJ gave us music we could dance to. Such a shame, previous events the music has been banging.

Alexis Taylor Ruined the night for me and my friends, we were all looking forward to a disco funk dance night  and His DJ set was Just AWFUL He absolutely Murdered the vibe in the venue playing the most ugly stressful, experimental undanceable deafening noise for 2 hours. Most of my friends went home and will never go see him again. So very disappointing. The other DJ were excellent but Alexis Taylor was SO very Bad. he just didn't fit the vibe of the night and the dance floor ground to a complete halt for the whole of his horrible set.

the music was not as good as previously. it felt like you chose DJs you wanted listen to and not what the family wanted. that was disappointing and a reason why so many friends didn't come this time. not sure will come if this continues
